Baseball Recap: Summerville Find Success

Summerville's tournament run continued when they took on Washington-Liberty on Thursday. The Green Wave had just enough and edged out the Generals 3-2.

Summerville is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 1.5 runs across that stretch. As for Washington-Liberty, their loss dropped their record down to 9-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Summerville will challenge West Ashley at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The Wildcats have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 6.81 runs per game on average), something the Green Wave will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Washington-Liberty, they will be playing at home against Yorktown at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
