Basketball Game Preview: Triton Hawks vs. Harnett Central Trojans

Triton is on a four-game streak of home losses, Harnett Central a three-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck will change on Tuesday. The Triton Hawks will host the Harnett Central Trojans at 6:30 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 59-31, which was the final score in Triton's tilt against Overhills on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Hawks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 368th, while the Jaguars are ranked 148th).

Meanwhile, Harnett Central played a tough match on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were outmatched by Pine Forest and fell 47-20.

Triton's defeat dropped their record down to 7-16. As for Harnett Central, their loss dropped their record down to 2-18.

Triton strolled past Harnett Central in their previous matchup back in January by a score of 45-29. Does Triton have another victory up their sleeve, or will Harnett Central turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
