Softball Game Preview: Jenkins Warriors vs. Long County Blue Tide + Official Tickets

Jenkins is 1-9 against Long County since September of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Warriors will challenge the Blue Tide at 5:30 p.m. Jenkins has given up an average of 17.3 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Jenkins couldn't beat Calvary Day on Thursday even though they stacked five runs on them in the first inning. The Warriors came up short against the Cavaliers, falling 20-8.

Ma'Kaiyah Gray was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. Kayanna Moore was another key player, getting on base in two of her three plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.

Meanwhile, it may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Long County ultimately got the result they hoped for on Monday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Richmond Hill 2-1. The victory was nothing new for the Blue Tide as they're now sitting on four straight.

Jenkins' defeat dropped their record down to 3-20. As for Long County, their win bumped their record up to 23-4.

Jenkins suffered a grim 16-0 defeat to Long County in their previous meeting back in September. Can the Warriors avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
