Softball Recap: Ringgold Snaps Eight-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Ringgold played in-conference for the first time on Monday and got just the result they were looking for. They were the clear victors by an 11-2 margin over the North Murray Mountaineers. The Tigers' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Emorie Coles spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on four hits and racked up seven Ks. Those seven strikeouts set a new season-high mark for her.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Maya Satterfield, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with three stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Jillian Eaker, who went 3-for-5 with two runs and two RBI.

Ringgold kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in September of 2024.

Ringgold's win ended an eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-8. As for North Murray, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season.
