Softball Recap: Frederick Golden Eagles vs. Erie Tigers

Frederick dropped to 16-7 on Thursday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins on the road. They lost 12-2 to the Erie Tigers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 14-1 on Tuesday.

Frederick saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alena Starr, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one double and one RBI. That double was Starr's first of the season.

As for Erie, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-5. Considering they have won 12 contests by more than nine runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

On Erie's side, Braelen Heer was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and two doubles. That's the most hits Heer has posted since back in August. The team also got some help courtesy of Sydnie Snook, who went 3-for-4 with three runs and one double.

As of now, neither Frederick nor Erie have any future games scheduled.
