Basketball Recap: Maret Takes a Loss

Maret made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Flint Hill, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Frogs fell just short of the Huskies by a score of 55-52 on Tuesday. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Frogs came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 17th in District of Columbia, while the Huskies are ranked 160th in Virginia).

Maret now has a losing record of 7-8. As for Flint Hill, their victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-10.

Coincidentally, Maret and Flint Hill will both be playing Sidwell Friends the next time they take the court. The Huskies will head out to face the Quakers at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Frogs will host them at 5:45 p.m. on Friday.
