Basketball Recap: North Hills Christian Eagles vs. North Rowan Cavaliers

The North Hills Christian Eagles pushed their score all the way to 74 on Monday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They suffered a tough 94-74 defeat at the hands of North Rowan. North Hills Christian has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

North Hills Christian lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Champion Hayden, who scored 35 points along with six rebounds. That was a full 47.3% of North Hills Christian's points, marking the 12th time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Jerrod Drye Jr. was another key contributor, scoring 20 points along with seven rebounds and two steals.

North Hills Christian has not been sharp recently as the team's lost seven of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 14-14 record this season. As for North Rowan, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-9.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. North Hills Christian will square off against the Falcons at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. United Faith Christian Academy will be looking to keep their seven-game home win streak alive. As for North Rowan, they will head out on the road to face off against the Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
