Softball Game Preview: La Conner Braves vs. Friday Harbor Wolverines

For the second straight game, La Conner will face off against Friday Harbor. The Braves will challenge the Wolverines at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. La Conner has given up an average of 11.5 runs per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

La Conner is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 13 runs on Friday, they were much more limited against Friday Harbor on Monday. They lost 13-2 to the Wolverines.

La Conner saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Yamileth Ocampo Contreras, who went 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Friday Harbor has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 17.0 runs over those games. As for La Conner, they dropped their record down to 6-10 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.
