Baseball Recap: Covenant Academy Takes a Loss

Covenant Academy fell victim to Trinity Christian and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They came up short against the Crusaders, falling 10-0. The loss continues a trend for the Rams in their meetings with the Crusaders: they've now lost six in a row.

Covenant Academy saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hayden Korink, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases.

Covenant Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 10-13. As for Trinity Christian, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 14 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-4 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Covenant Academy will take on Windsor Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Knights have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 13 runs per game on average), something the Rams will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Trinity Christian, they will face off against Citizens Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Crusaders' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Patriots have averaged an impressive 8.1 runs per game this season.
