Basketball Recap: Kaelynn Bayley Key Part of a Team Effort in Timberjacks Win

There's no place like home for Hayfork, who bounced back after a loss on the road back in December of 2024. Everything went their way against the Happy Camp Indians on Monday as the Hayfork Timberjacks made off with a 51-27 win. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 38-6.

Hayfork's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kaelynn Bayley, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 12 boards. Lydia Yarbrough was another key player, putting up five points along with nine steals and seven boards.

Hayfork smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 32 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive rebounds in six consecutive games.

Hayfork has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a massive bump to their 6-7 record this season.
