Truman is a perfect 10-0 against Raytown since September of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Patriots will square off against the Bluejays at 4:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Truman's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They blew past Ruskin 20-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Patriots.
Taylen Parker was a major factor no matter where she played. She struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Parker was also big at the plate, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two RBI.

In other batting news, Truman let Tori Shearer and Adleigh Jeffries run wild. Shearer went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI, while Jeffries went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, one triple, and two RBI. Shearer is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: she's snagged at least one every time she's taken the field this season. Ella Reinhardt was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one home run and three RBI.
Truman always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .923. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, it was a Battle of the Birds when Raytown took on Ruskin on Thursday. The Bluejays put the hurt on the Golden Eagles with a sharp 14-4 win. The Bluejays haven't had any issues with the Golden Eagles recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.
Jazlynne Farmer made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over five innings while giving up four earned runs off five hits. Farmer was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base. That stolen base marked the first that she has snagged this season.
In other batting news, Raytown got a massive performance out of Savannah Young, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. That's the most runs Young has posted since back in September of 2024. Another player making a difference was Charisma DeWitt, who went 3-for-4 with four runs, two stolen bases, and three RBI.
Raytown's record now sits at 4-8. As for Truman, the win got them back to even at 6-6.
Everything went Truman's way against Raytown in their previous matchup back in September, as Truman made off with a 16-4 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Patriots since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
