Basketball Recap: Acalanes Falls Short of Mcclatchy in the Playoffs

Acalanes and McClatchy squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Acalanes had to settle for second. They fell 57-47 to the McClatchy Lions. The Dons have been going strong on the season, but this is now their second loss in a row.

Acalanes' defeat dropped their record down to 28-3. As for McClatchy, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 25-6.

Acalanes does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for McClatchy, they will square off against Archbishop Mitty at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. McClatchy knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 18 matches -- so hopefully Archbishop Mitty likes a good challenge.
