Softball Game Preview: River Ridge Knights vs. Cherokee Warriors

The River Ridge Knights will challenge the Cherokee Warriors at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

River Ridge fell victim to North Cobb and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They came up short against the Warriors, falling 6-0. The Knights haven't had much luck with the Warriors recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Meanwhile, Cherokee came up short against West Forsyth on Saturday and fell 5-1.

River Ridge's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Cherokee, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

River Ridge took their win against Cherokee in their previous meeting back in September of 2024 by a conclusive 9-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Knights since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
