Baseball Recap: Lithia Springs Takes a Loss

Monday just wasn't the day for Lithia Springs's offense. They came up short against the Alexander Cougars on Monday, falling 15-0. The Lions have struggled against the Cougars recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost meetings.

Lithia Springs' defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Alexander, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-11 record this season.

A feisty cat fight will be fought as Lithia Springs Lions challenge Villa Rica Wildcats at 5:55 p.m. on Wednesday. Villa Rica will roll in looking for their 16th straight win, something Lithia Springs surely won't give up without a fight. As for Alexander, they will square off against Kennesaw Mountain at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Alexander is on a three-game streak of home wins, Kennesaw Mountain a four-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the field.
