Baseball Recap: Cornerstone Christian Takes a Loss

Cornerstone Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They came up short against the Mt. Pulaski Hilltoppers, falling 8-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Cyclones of the 10-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2025.

Cornerstone Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Mt. Pulaski, their victory bumped their record up to 12-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Cornerstone Christian will head out to face off against Ridgeview at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Mt. Pulaski, they will venture away from home to square off against Meridian at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Hawks have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 6.67 runs per game on average), something the Hilltoppers will no doubt try to take advantage of.
