Softball Recap: Georgia School for Innovation & Classics Takes a Loss

If Georgia School for Innovation & Classics was feeling good fresh off their 15-0 takedown of Wilkinson County last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Patriots came up short against the Swainsboro Tigers on Thursday, falling 9-1. The Patriots haven't had much luck with the Tigers recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Georgia School for Innovation & Classics' defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Swainsboro, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Georgia School for Innovation & Classics will challenge Edmund Burke Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Swainsboro, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Toombs County at 6:00 p.m.
