Baseball Recap: Algoma Comes Up Short

Algoma lost to Luxemburg-Casco back in April of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Wolves took a 5-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Spartans. The Wolves have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Algoma saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jacob Massey, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Algoma's loss dropped their record down to 9-14. As for Luxemburg-Casco, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a massive bump to their 14-8 record this season.

Algoma will take on Mishicot on Thursday. As for Luxemburg-Casco, they will square off against Kewaunee at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Storm's pitching crew has only allowed 1.4 runs per game this season, so the Spartans' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
