Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a  season-high score is even better (just ask Northfield). They were the clear victors by  a  20-3 margin over the Thomas Jefferson Spartans on Tuesday. While the Nighthawks didn't have the best season last year (they finished 5-18), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.
 Sydney Hurley was  incredible,  going 2-for-3 with three  runs, three  RBI,  and one  triple. That's the most  RBI  she has posted since back in August of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of  Audrina Srichabok, who  went 1-for-2 with two  stolen bases, three  RBI,  and two  runs.
 Northfield  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .697. They are  a perfect 4-0 when  they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Northfield's victory was  their third straight on the road, which  pushed their record up to 5-2. The  road  wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 15.7 runs over those games. As for Thomas Jefferson,  they are  on  a  six-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 0-6.
 We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Northfield is set to  challenge  their familiar foe Vista PEAK Prep  at 4:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Meanwhile, Thomas Jefferson will  square off against  rival Denver North  at 5:00  p.m.  on Thursday.
