Basketball Game Preview: Mira Loma Matadors vs. Lincoln Fighting Zebras

Mira Loma is headed into the match out to prove that what happened against Colfax on Wednesday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Mira Loma took a blow against Colfax, falling 79-6. The game marked the Matadors' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Meanwhile, Lincoln strolled past Oakmont with points to spare on Wednesday, taking the game 61-45. Given the Fighting Zebras' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 251st, while the Vikings are ranked 527th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Lincoln's victory was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-4. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.9 points per game. As for Mira Loma, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-10 record this season.
