Tartan scored a shocking upset when it eliminated Mahtomedi, 23-20. At the time, the Zephyrs were ranked 21st in the state, while the Titans were 47th.
The biggest upset of the week belonged to Tartan, who took down 21st ranked Mahtomedi, 23-20. Tim McCarthy threw for 152 yards and 1 touchdown and ran for 45 yards in the win.
Aaron Mullen's team's offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. On the ground Keenan Bellephant chipped in 68 yards. Jake Paulson helped Tartan's passing attack out by catching 4 balls for 46 yards.
Keiran Johnson was the best wideout in Classic Suburban this week as the Titans defeated Dave Muetzel's team. Johnson racked up 2 receptions for 62 yards. Paulson helped Tartan's passing attack out by catching 4 balls for 46 yards.
An important game coming up in the league this week will be when South St. Paul takes on Simley. The Packers are currently in first, while the Spartans are in sixth.
Sibley scaled the state rankings by moving to 70 from 97 this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Warriors were able to move up by defeating Simley 34-14.
