Softball Recap: Sherwood Takes a Loss

Sherwood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 17-2 to the Lawson Cardinals. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Marksmen of the 7-6 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

Sherwood saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tori Sullins, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Sherwood's loss dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Lawson, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sherwood will host Clinton at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Lawson, they will square off against Trenton at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
