Alburnett lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Lisbon, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Saturday's matchup. The Pirates blew past the Lions 8-2 on Saturday. The result was nothing new for the Pirates, who have now won 12 contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Alburnett has been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 13 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-9 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.1 runs on average over those games. As for Lisbon, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 16-10.

Coming up, Alburnett is taking a road trip to square off against Midland at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Lisbon, they will challenge Maquoketa Valley at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Wildcats' pitching crew has only allowed 3.2 runs per game this season, so the Lions' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
