Basketball Recap: Montebello Comes Up Short at Home Against Flintridge Sacred Heart

Montebello unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. The matchup between the Oilers and the Flintridge Sacred Heart Tologs didn't end well, with the Oilers falling 49-31. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it four in a row.

Despite the loss, Montebello still got an impressive performance from Ariel Valle-Valdivia, who dropped a double-double with ten points and 13 boards. Another player making a difference was Esmeralda Molano, who posted four points and eight rebounds.

Coming up, Montebello will square off against Norwalk at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Flintridge Sacred Heart, they will challenge Polytechnic at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
