Basketball Recap: Sonoma Valley Comes Up Short

Sonoma Valley and Trinity squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Sonoma Valley had to settle for second. They took a 50-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Trinity Wolves.

Trinity's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Braelynn Nugent, who posted two points along with 11 boards, seven assists, and seven steals. Another player making a difference was Kloe Kist, who went 6-for-13 en route to 17 points and three steals.

Sonoma Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 19-14. As for Trinity, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-7 record this season.

Sonoma Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Trinity, they will face off against Woodland Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Woodland Christian's defense has only allowed 27.3 points per game this season, so Trinity's offense will have their work cut out for them.
