Soccer Game Preview: Gregori vs. St. Mary's

The Gregori Jaguars will challenge the St. Mary's Rams at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams each escaped with close wins against their previous opponents.

Gregori is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They never let Central Valley onto the board and left with a 1-0 victory. The win was nothing new for the Jaguars as they're now sitting on six straight.

Meanwhile, St. Mary's game on Tuesday was all tied up 0-0 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Franklin 1-0. Give the Rams' defense some credit: that's the team's fifth straight shutout.

St. Mary's has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-2 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up two goals over those nine contests. As for Gregori, they pushed their record up to 17-1 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home.
