Basketball Recap: Chino Hills Takes a Loss

After flying high against Costa Mesa last Friday, Chino Hills came back down to earth. The Chino Hills Huskies were beaten by the King Wolves 62-35 on Monday. While losing is never fun, the Huskies can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 467th, while the Wolves are ranked 42nd).

Despite the loss, Chino Hills saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Mikhayla Solomon went 6 of 14 en route to 17 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Solomon has scored all season.

Chino Hills' defeat dropped their record down to 5-7. As for King, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 16-4.

Chino Hills wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 58-46 win against Arcadia on the 31st. King has also already played their next matchup, a 52-37 victory against Oak Hills on the 31st.
