Softball Game Preview: Forest City Indians vs. North Iowa Bison

Forest City has gone 8-2 against North Iowa recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Indians will take on the Bison at 6:00 p.m. Forest City will be strutting in after a win while North Iowa will be coming in after a defeat.

Forest City will bounce into Monday's match after beating North Union, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Indians came out on top against the Warriors by a score of 7-4 on Friday.

Meanwhile, North Iowa fell victim to Garner-Hayfield/Ventura and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They came up short against the Cardinals, falling 10-0. The Bison just can't catch a break and have now endured four losses in a row.

Forest City has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.8 runs on average over those games. As for North Iowa, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-8.

Forest City took their win against North Iowa in their previous matchup on June 2nd by a conclusive 10-2 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Indians since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
