Volleyball Recap: Cuba Takes a Loss

Cuba was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Thoreau Hawks. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since September 26, 2019, but that streak is no more.

Cuba was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Thoreau work for it, especially in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 25-14, 23-25, 25-23.

Cuba's record is now 7-10. As for Thoreau, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-10 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cuba will host East Mountain at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Thoreau, they will welcome Newcomb at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
