Recap: Winters Warriors vs. East Nicolaus Spartans
Even though the Winters Warriors have not done well against the East Nicolaus Spartans recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Winters sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 50-47 victory over East Nicolaus. The victory was nothing new for Winters as they're now sitting on four straight.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Winters to victory, but perhaps none more so than Emily Dodic, who scored 18 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Dodic has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordan Tucker, who scored 12 points.
Winters is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season. As for East Nicolaus, their loss dropped their record down to 11-7.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Winters will take on Colusa at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Colusa will be looking to extend their current nine-game winning streak. As for East Nicolaus, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Willows at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
