Softball Recap: St. Cecilia Comes Up Short

St. Cecilia lost against Douglas County West back in October of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Bluehawks fell just short of the Falcon by a score of 5-4. The Bluehawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Sydney Head made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. That stolen base was her first of the season. Faith Kucera was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one triple and one RBI.

St. Cecilia's loss dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Douglas County West, their record is now 3-4.

Coincidentally, St. Cecilia and Douglas County West will both be playing Ralston the next time they take the field. The Bluehawks will host the Rams at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, while the Falcon will play them later in the day, at 12:30 p.m.
