The Ware County Gators earned a 4-2 win over the Valdosta Wildcats on Friday. Given Ware County's advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 135th, while Valdosta are ranked 330th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Ware County has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 12 goals over those four matches. Valdosta is on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-11.

Coming up, Ware County will head out to square off against Appling County at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Valdosta, they will look to defend their home pitch on Tuesday against Tift County at 7:30 p.m.
