Douglas County has gone 9-1 against Highlands Ranch recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Huskies will look to defend their home field against the Falcons at 3:30 p.m. Douglas County will be strutting in after a victory while Highlands Ranch will be coming in after a defeat.

Having struggled with five losses in a row, Douglas County turned things around against Overland on Saturday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Trailblazers, sneaking past 9-8. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Huskies have posted since October 7, 2024.

Hayley Rice was incredible, earning three runs and five stolen bases. That's the most runs she has posted since September 2nd. Juju Ramirez was another key player, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with one double.

Meanwhile, Highlands Ranch was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat. They lost 11-4 to Regis Jesuit.

Highlands Ranch saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Puna Toelupe, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs. Another was Bridget Nittler, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.

Highlands Ranch's loss dropped their record down to 1-15. As for Douglas County, their victory bumped their record up to 6-10.

Douglas County took their win against Highlands Ranch in their previous meeting back in September of 2024 by a conclusive 9-3 score. Will the Huskies repeat their success, or do the Falcons have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
