Soccer Recap: Antelope Valley Comes Up Short

Antelope Valley lost against Quartz Hill back in February and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Antelopes might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting the Royals an easy 4-0 win. While losing is never fun, Antelope Valley can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 547th, while Quartz Hill are ranked 137th).

Antelope Valley now has a losing record of 3-4-2. As for Quartz Hill, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-2-1.

Antelope Valley will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Lancaster at 4:30 p.m. on January 13, 2026. As for Quartz Hill, they will take on San Marcos in a tournament on Saturday.
