Basketball Game Recap: Port of Los Angeles Polar Bears vs. Mayfield Cubs

The Port of Los Angeles Polar Bears's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They suffered a tough 36-11 loss at the hands of Mayfield.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Mayfield to victory, but perhaps none more so than Elisa Milkie, who dropped a double-double on 10 points and 11 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Christine Ellis, who scored 7 points along with 7 rebounds and 4 steals.

Port of Los Angeles' loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Mayfield, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Port of Los Angeles will take on Dymally at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Mayfield, they will head out on the road to face off against Flintridge Prep at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
