Baseball Recap: Hickory Comes Up Short

Hickory was the 1-0 winner over General McLane when they last played one another back in May of 2017, but their luck changed this time around. The Hornets fell just short of the Lancers by a score of 4-3 on Friday.

Hickory has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-14 record this season. As for General McLane, their win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-5-1.

Hickory does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for General McLane, they have already played their next game, a 4-3 victory against Cathedral Prep on the 25th.
