Fort Wayne Bishop Dwenger dropped down to 4-2 on Friday, ending the team's four-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the Fort Wayne Northrop Bruins by a score of 21-18. The Saints were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bruins apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

When it comes to explaining why Fort Wayne Bishop Dwenger lost, don't look at Aj Shefferly. Despite the final result, he rushed for 79 yards and one TD on only ten carries.

As for Fort Wayne Northrop, they pushed their record up to 5-1 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those 21 points were actually the fewest they have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

This one was won in the trenches and the lion's share of the credit has to go to Levi Portee and Kobe Reese. Portee rushed for 53 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only seven carries while Reese rushed for 84 yards and one score. Those 84 rushing yards gave Reese a new career-high.
