Softball Recap: Fairbury Jeffs vs. Fillmore Central Panthers

Fairbury had lost six straight dating back to last season, but after bumping their record up to 2-5 on Tuesday that streak is in the rearview. They beat the Fillmore Central Panthers by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 9-8. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Jeffs also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2024.

Jordin Gill was incredible, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Those two stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Morgan Hansmire was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
