Leominster Blue Devils (Leominster, MA) boosters exited the stadium content Tuesday as they witnessed their lacrosse team top the visiting Hudson Hawks (Hudson, MA), 12-3 in a non-league challenge.

The Blue Devils now own a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Littleton for a Midland-Wachusett B challenge on Thursday, April 8. Leominster will meet a Tigers team coming off a 8-4 league win over Milford (Milford, MA). The Tigers record now stands at 1-0.

In their next game, the Hawks meet the Bromfield Trojans (Harvard, MA) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, April 8. Hudson will attempt to advance on its 0-1 season record. The Trojans come into the challenge with a 0-1 record after their 12-3 non-league loss to St. Bernard's Central Catholic (Fitchburg, MA).

Junior Peter Jakopla leads the way for the Blue Devils as Leominster topped Hudson 12-3 at Sky View Middle School in Leominster. Jakola scored the Devils' first three goals, en route to a five goal day and sophomore Tim Luksha added three goals and an assist. Nick Nadeau (goal, three assists), Marcus Milano (2 assists) and Mike Benham (goal and assist) chipped in with multiple point efforts and Keith Barnaby and Jon Careau each added a tally for the 2-0 Blue Devils. Ryan Fioretti (12 saves on 13 shots) and Mike Pacy (3 saves on 5 shots) combined for the win in goal. Junior Tim Lanza and Seniors Geno Gasbarro and Paul Orlando led a stingy defense for the Devils. Hudson falls to 0-1 despite a strong effort from their defense and goaltender.
