Catherine Powers has been named player of the year. "Catherine had a record 30 kills and 10 blocks in one game this past Monday against Sacred Heart Kingston. She also put up 7 service points includeing 4 aces to help the wildcats rally back after a 2 game deficit to pick up the next 2 games before losing in the 5th game 15 - 11. Catherine has over come a lot of adversity in school as she has been the victim of peer-bullying and has been working overtime to make good grades in school; she currently has all A's and B's which is a huge milestone for her. Because she is a very quiet young lady she doesn't always get the recognition that she should and I feel very strongly that she should be Player of the week"
