Saugus Sachems (Saugus, MA) supporters left the game pleased Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nudge the host Salem Witches (Salem, MA), 5-2 in a league game.

With the triumph, Saugus improves its record to 7-5 on the year. The Sachems host Watertown (Watertown, MA) to play the Raiders in a non-league game on Friday, May 16. The Raiders enter the game with a record of 0-9.

The Witches now hold a 3-8 record. They play next when they travel to Winthrop for a Northeast- Lynch game on Thursday, May 15. Salem will play a Vikings squad coming off a 8-0 non-league loss to Masconomet Regional (Boxford, MA). The Vikings record now stands at 4-11.
