Blake James has been named player of the year. "Blake James was chosen as player of the year by the coaching staff based upon his outstanding playing and leadership contributions both on the field and off. He pitched to a 1.09 Earned Run Average and won four games for the Raiders. Blake struck out 52 batters in 45 innings on the mound and steadily improved his performance as the year went on. His last two appearances were a no hitter, and a 1 hitter against Hammond in the state playoffs. Blake also batted .273 with a home run and 9 RBIs. Blake will be continuing his education and baseball experience in the fall at LaSalle College in Philadelphia. "
