Matt Dillow has been named player of the year. "Matt was the team MVP and Player of the Year. He was the leader on and off of the court. He was the only returning starter on a team that lost 6 key players to graduation and transfer. Matt stepped up and accepted the challenge of a new role, new position and flourished. The team got off to a slow start & 2-7 record & then pulled together & responded with a strong 9-6 record the rest of season which ended in a heart breaking loss on the road in the Maryland State Tournament just a game from the Final Four. Matt had one of the strongest season a Calvary player has ever had; named to both the All MDCC and All Area Teams as well as being the first CCA Boy to be invited to play in the MD and WV All Star game. He averaged 21.3 points per game to lead the MDCC and placed 2nd in the Tri-State area; he lead both the MDCC and the Tri-State with 66 3 pointers made. Matt reached career milestones for both 1,000 Points and 1,000 Rebounds making him the only player to accomplish both."
