Hale Eagles (Hale, MI) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Au Gres-Sims Wolverines (Au Gres, MI), 54-49 in a league bout.

With the win, Hale upgrades its record to 11-4 on the season. The Eagles travel to Peck (Peck, MI) to play the Pirates in a non-league bout on Saturday, February 9. The Pirates go into the bout with a record of 10-5. Peck won 70-11 in their recent league bout against Akron-Fairgrove (Fairgrove, MI)

Next up, the Wolverines play the Hillman Tigers (Hillman, MI) in a North Star bout, on Monday, February 11. Au Gres-Sims will attempt to upgrade on its 6-11 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 5-9 record after their 74-42 league win over Fairview (Fairview, MI).
