Baldwin Panthers (Baldwin, MI) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Covert Bulldogs (Covert, MI), 59-58 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Baldwin upgrades its record to 12-5 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Catholic Central (Manistee, MI) to play the Sabers in a West Michigan D bout on Friday, February 24. The Sabers come into the bout with a record of 15-3. Catholic Central won 69-39 in their recent league bout against Walkerville (Walkerville, MI)

Next up, the Bulldogs play the Eau Claire Beavers (Eau Claire, MI) in a Red Arrow bout, on Tuesday, February 21. Covert will attempt to upgrade on its 6-10 season record. The Beavers come into the bout with a 8-8 record after their 54-40 non-league loss to Mendon (Mendon, MI).
