Sexton Big Reds (Lansing, MI) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Grand Ledge Comets (Grand Ledge, MI), 78-43 in a league bout.

With the win, Sexton upgrades its record to 11-1 on the season. The Big Reds host Jackson (Jackson, MI) to play the Vikings in a Capital Area - Blue bout on Tuesday, February 7. The Vikings go into the bout with a record of 7-6. Jackson lost 75-55 in their recent league bout against East Lansing (East Lansing, MI)

Next up, the Comets play the Okemos Chieftains (Okemos, MI) in a Capital Area - Blue bout, on Tuesday, February 7. Grand Ledge will attempt to upgrade on its 1-11 season record. The Chieftains go into the bout with a 8-5 record after their 71-41 league win over Everett (Lansing, MI).
