The Mason County Eastern Cardinals basketball team scored 69 points and held the visiting Walkerville Wildcats to 45 in the Cardinals league triumph on Friday.

The Cardinals now sport a 10-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Onekama for a West Michigan D contest on Monday, February 9. Mason County Eastern will confront a Portagers team coming off a 73-71 league loss to Crossroads Charter Academy (Big Rapids, MI). The Portagers record now stands at 9-3.

The Wildcats (0-12) will now prepare for their contest against Baldwin (Baldwin, MI). The Panthers enter the West Michigan D contest with a 10-2 record. In their last contest, Baldwin trounced Bear Lake (Bear Lake, MI), 71-51, in a league contest.
