Kamrin Gold has been named player of the year. "Kamrin is a wonderful player that has worked really hard to help her high school team improve everyday. Kamrin is the only starter on our team that plays club ball which means we have an inexperienced team with a tough schedule. We are also a young team with 6 sophomores and 1 freshmen. Kamrin led our team to their first over .500 season in over 5 years. Kamrin has broken nearly every school record. She has had an incredible high school career having been voted all 4 years to 1st team All-Conference with being voted the #1 player in the conference this season. She has been selected to our All-Area team from our area newspaper every year. The area newspaper also selected Kamrin as the #1 player to watch in the area. This is all with a team of inexperience players and a team that hasn't yet won a championship. That is the type of player Kamrin Gold is and what she brings to our school and area. Everyone in our area knows Kamrin Gold. In every gym, opposing coaches, officials, fans, players all comment about my #7. That is because she sticks out and has great all-around skills and always exhibits good sportsmanship. Obviously her role on our team is huge. As much as she does for us every match, you never hear her complain and you never see her tire out. She keeps plugging away. I do expect Kamrin to be voted to our All-Region team for the fourth straight year on November 6th and she also was a Class A honorable-mention as a junior. The All-State voting is in mid-November which I am expecting Kamrin up there as well. I can say a lot more about Kamrin but I will end on her update statistics. Played in 129/129 games. (has played in 100% of the games throughout her entire high school career) Serving: 399/431=93% 227 points; 63 aces Serve Receive> 562/604=93% Ball Control/setting> 72/74=97% 31 assists Attacks> 1485/1708=87% 808 kills .343 kill percentage 6.3 kills per game Digging> 654/790=83% 5.1 per game Blocks> 32 solo 24 assisted ~Kamrin is a natural and can do any position very well. "
