Chelsea Bertie has been named player of the year. "Chelsea is the heart and soul of our volleyball team. She is a 4 year varsity starter, All Conference, All Region and All State Hnorable mention and our Returning Team Captain. Through commitment hardwork and dedication Chelsea Bertie has become the "Best All-Around Volleyball Player" in our Region and one of the best at her position in the State of Michigan. As Team Captain, Chelsea will do anything that is asked of her for the good of the team, both on and off the court. Chelsea Bertie has always been a positive, outgoing person as well as a passionate Volleyball Player and a natural leader. Chelsea has evolved into the team leader of most teams that she has played on due to her enthusiasm for the game and her positive work ethic. She has outstanding court sense and is a very instinctive player who rises to the occasion when a "Big Play" is needed. She is highly skilled both offensively and defensively as her statistics indicate. Chelsea will be put in the State record books for serving Aces for her Sophmore and Junior years(177)and this year she will be added for kills in a five game match with (31). "
