Player of the Year
Dmonta Harris has been named player of the year. "Dmonta Harris had a great season helping the Rockets to a 25-1 overall record winning a League, District and Regional Championship. The Rockets won its 1st ever MAC League Championship since coming into the MAC in 2003. Dmonta was named the MAC Gold Most Valuable Player. The Rockets where the 2nd team in school history to finish 20-0 during the regular season & became the 7th team in Macomb County to accomplish such a feat. Dmonta was named the Macomb County Player of Year which hasn't been won by a New Haven Basketball player since 1984. Dmonta was selected First Team All-State Class B Associated Press and named BCAM Best First team All-State Dmonta is Blessed with great gifts that he is able to display through the game of basketball. A special player that has the keen ability to take over and control basketball games on both ends of the court while making everyone around him better. A natural leader on and off the basketball court and he is the true definition of a student athlete."
