Kara Craig has been named player of the year. "Kara grew tremendously as a player and a leader this season. She started as an amazing athlete then cranked up the intensity and became a very aggressive attacker. She pushes herself to excel and demands the same out of her teammates. But also reminds us that this is a game, and we are here to have fun and enjoy one another. Kara's size and athleticism allowed her to lead our team in solo blocks, block assists and kills this year. As one of our captains she helped bring our team together to form a tight-knit family. Kara helped make my first year at Schoolcraft very memorable. I will never forget what she helped this team accomplish."
